Rotary is a worldwide volunteer organization of business and professional leaders that provide humanitarian service, encourages high ethical standards in all vocations, and helps build goodwill and peace in the world. Rotary initiates humanitarian programs that address today’s challenging issues, such as hunger, poverty, and illiteracy in both the local and international communities. Approximately 1.3 million Rotarians belong to more than 33,000 Rotary clubs located in 168 countries.
North Fresno Rotarians are part of this diverse group of professional and business leaders working to address various community and international needs and to promote peace and understanding throughout the world.
The City of Fresno is locatd in Central California’s San Joaquin Valley next to the Sierra Nevada mountains and the world famous Yosemite Valley. Being located in the heart of the world’s richest farmland, Fresno embraces a strong agricultural heritage. North Fresno Rotary members are managers, owners of businesses and professional leaders in the community. They practice the Rotary Motto of “Service Above Self.”
The North Fresno Rotary Club was chartered by Rotary International on October 5, 1948. Reviewing the past 50+ years shows the club has a grand history!
