Dead Trees of our Sierra's Sierra National Forest Carolyn Ballard
Trees are dying at an unprecedented rate across the Sierra's. The presentation will discuss why this is occurring and how did the drought affect the forests.
I have been a firefighter and Fire Manager on the Sierra National Forest since 1982 and am entering my 35th fire season. I am currently a Division Chief on the High Sierra Ranger District and I am the coordinator for the district's Tree Mortality Efforts and coordination with local and state agencies for community protection.

Bernadette is the first woman to be inducted into Rotary Club of North Fresno in September 1990 under President Brian McCully. It has been a very rewarding adventure working and helping out on our projects. There are several projects that are very close to my heart; Pancake Breakfast (which is in our 30th year), ARC Bowling and Camp Royal.
