President Elect 2017

Bruce Harr became a North Fresno Rotarian in 2014. He previously had been a member of the Rotary Club of Fresno (downtown) for about 22 years.  Bruce was born in Fresno and attended Roosevelt High School, where he met his wife of 52 years, Pearl. They had 2 children, Justin age 43, and Alison who died at age 36 from injuries in an auto accident.

Immediate Past President 2017

For over 23 years, the North Fresno Rotary club has been a source of friendship, enlightenment, and inspiration to me.  Founded in 1948, and with nearly 100 members today, the club has introduced me to a vast array of professionals.  Weekly, we meet for lunch and speaker programs which spawn thoughtful conversations, challenging projects, and hearty laughter.

Secretary 2017

David Reuland has been active in North Fresno Rotary since May 1987.  He served as NFR’s 55th President.  He is a Registered Professional Adjuster and retired after 30 years of service with the firm Ronald Bolt & Associates. He specialized in Agricultural property losses with special emphasis on fire claims.  Dave has been married to Debbie since 1983. They have hosted 15 exchange students from all over the world.  His interests include international travel, skiing, time at Lake Tahoe, gardening and of course Rotary.

Roger George Fishing for Trophy Striped Bass Presentation of fishing and guiding for trophy striped bass in the Valley. Explaining the tactics, techniques, lures and equipment I have used for the last 35 years to catch giant stripers at San Luis Reservoir and Millerton Lake.
Professional and Vocational Mixer at Ruth's Chris Steak House This is our first North Fresno Rotary mixer under President Rod. Introduce potential new members to NFR in a casual setting. Spouses are invited to attend as well. Our COG, Haley Wagner, Sales Manager at Ruth’s Chris, has arranged for some great appetizers for your enjoyment to be accompanied by a nice glass (or two) of wine.
Kimberly Gibson on Crops for the Future Despite California's rich agricultural landscape today, this region does not have any native crops and has historically relied on the importation of crop species from other parts of the world.
Stefani Booroojian and North Fresno Rotary's Armenian Project On July 20th, Booroojian will be having a nightly segment on the 6pm news highlighting her recent Armenia trip that will run 8 nights consecutively (excluding weekends). One of those segments will focus on our global grant to the Berlin Medical Center.
Behind the Scenes with Fresno Poet Laureate Emeritus Lee Herrick Hear from Fresno Poet Laureate Emeritus (2015-2017) Lee Herrick, whose two-year term recently ended. He will speak about his experiences, from his appointment by former Mayor Ashley Swearengin, to coaching high school students for the National Poetry Out Loud competition, reading across the United States, to reading at Valley State Prison. Herrick will read some of his poems, and a short Q and A will follow.
