Steve began collecting metal casting patterns in the early 1970s when fellow North Fresno Rotarian Keith Baxter said his company, Peabody Floway, was currently discarding them. Steve left Rotary that same day and collected his first group of patterns. As time went on he collected over two hundred and fifty patterns and began creating his art work at home and in his studio at the Sorensen Gallery. Currently his Garden Sculptures can be seen in various locations in Fresno and Cambria.
