Peter Fortuna is a Fresno State Alumni with a B.S. in Computer Science and a M.A. in Education and Curriculum. Peter is also a North Fresno Rotarian since 2013, VP of Public Relations for Clovis Toastmasters Speechmasters Club, and a District 5230 Resource Leader for Rotary International.
North Fresno Rotary Awards and Recognition for Community Service and Service Above Self
The COGS are making great progress on the Little Free Library book boxes. After a really good day of progress on Saturday, the boxes have bottoms, roofs, sides, fronts, backs, bottom supports, and doors. The roofs have 2 coats of RedGard, an impermeable membrane over which roofing shingles will be glued.
Established many years ago (1987-1989) as a non-profit corporation to benefit the local community, the Endowment Fund attempts to assist worthwhile projects and efforts in Fresno and Madera County. The Endowment Fund is primary supported by contributions from North Fresno Rotarians but our finances are independent from the North Fresno Rotary Board. We meet on a bi-monthly basis (3rd Wednesday of every odd-month).
On Thursday August 24, 2017, North Fresno Rotary President Rod Gibson 2017-18 announced the creation of a new club award; the Fred Biglione Award for Fundraising.
Fred Biglione was a beloved member of Rotary International, District 5230, and the East and North Fresno Rotary Clubs. Fred’s love of service lead Mr. Biglione to be the highest fundraiser in North Fresno Rotary several years over… despite not being a member of the club during the period.
North Fresno Rotary is organized into Five Avenues of Service to support the mission and vision of Rotary International.
