Gail Miller, is the Caltrans District 6, Deputy District Director of Planning, Local Programs, and Environmental Analysis. She graduated from Fresno State in 1993, with a degree in Public Administration. Gail has over 25 years of government service starting her career with the City of Fresno as a Management Analyst in the City Manager’s office where she coordinated the graffiti eradication program. In that capacity, she served as the program’s lead outreach and public relations contact to the community and business sector. She also served as an assistant to the City of Fresno's Deputy City Manager. Following that, Gail went to work with the County of Fresno in their Department of Public Works & Development Services, where she served as an environmental/land use planner. She joined Caltrans, in January of 1999 as an Associate Environmental Planner and soon became a Senior Environmental Planner. After 13 years in the Environmental Analyst Division she was promoted to Deputy District Director of Planning, Local Programs, and Environmental Analysis. Prior to government service she spend 25 years self-employed in the private sector.
